Our research addresses questions such as: What is child abuse and neglect? What types of harm do children and young people experience? What are the risks of maltreatment occurring? How prevalent is child maltreatment and neglect? Our findings provide governments and professionals with accurate information about the nature and prevalence of child abuse and neglect in the general population to inform policy and practice responses.
